Our Web Design Process |
 |
|
1. |
You fill out our simple to use
price quote form,
or submit a RFQ/RFP by mail to our address. |
|
2. |
We then review the quote and start evaluating
the price of each segment |
|
3. |
Once reviewed we will submit to you, two forms
of estimates. One in an email and one word or
pdf file as an attachment. |
|
4. |
Then you will review the estimate and choose
whether or not to go with Studio727. |
|
5. |
If you choose us then we move on to the design
process. The first step to this process is to
set-up a meeting to discuss all facts of the
project. |
|
6. |
Then when we return to the office we will draw
out a timeline of the different parts of the
project. Here is the break down of what is used
in the timeline:
Planning / Flow Charting
This is the beginning process to start your
project. This help us give a time frame on completion.
Another name for this is project management.
Storyboarding / Mockups
These are hand drawn pictures, illustrating
your website/graphic. Mock-ups are used to show
the client what we have come up with. It is
a sample, just incase we need to start over
on the project!
Layout of Website Design
This is the layout of your website, using columns
and rows. These are called tables, and are a
lot like the tables in Microsoft Word (if you
are familiar with that).
Design of Images
We use an array of programs to design images
for your website or print project. These take
sometime, both in coming up with a plan, as
well as designing the entire images from scratch.
Images are not always photos, they are also
the backgrounds, headers and footers of your
design, menus, etc.
HTML / Programming
HTML is the code that makes up your entire website.
We keep up with W3C standards to get your site
best results in Search Engines.
The programming side of your website is used
to make a dynamic (able to change) website.
This includes the cost of database programming.
We use the programming language PHP, and MySQL
for the database.
Testing
We are constantly testing your website for errors
throughout the design process of your project.
We want to make sure it is perfect when it becomes
live.
We perform a full test at the end of each project.
We test for spelling, HTML code, placement of
images, multiple browser testing, etc.
Make Website Live
Well the name says it all. This is where we
upload your website and make it so everyone
in the World can see it! |
|
7. |
Then comes the artistic stuff. We start drawing
up ideas for your site. This is call storyboarding
(as described above). We sketch out different
layouts of your website and go forward to the
actual mockup designs to show you. We usually
do one mock-up and then if requested we can
design up to 3 different layout designs. |
|
8. |
Then we start with coding the project and designing
the images for use with your website. |
|
9. |
As the process grows, we continue to test the
website continuously. This helps in the final
stages of testing to produce a better product. |
|
10. |
Once we feel confident that the project is finished,
we start uploading the website to the Internet.
This is done through a process called FTP. This
is the final step to the project.

we will then send out the final proof to our
printing company. Once they are done printing
the project, we will then make sure everything
is ok, and then hand deliver them to your door
(if close to our office). That's it. No trouble
for you at all. We take care of everything. |
